Hi,

I am Cynthia, from Malta. I am married to a handsome husband and together we love to travel the world and see what other countries offer. My husband and I are both adventurous.  The country we live in Malta, is a tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean which is roughly around 316 squared kilometers. Malta offers a lot of characteristic however it misses a lot of  things, like mountains, waterfalls, canyons, rivers and lakes. We like to travel to see all these big things which our country unfortunately doesn't offer.

We both carry very busy lives, with full time jobs in the IT industry and after work I am currently training hard for bowling tournaments . During the little extra time I have, I enjoy scheduling trips abroad and planning them. Planning trips can take a lot of your time and make you feel unsafe until you know what you will be doing and where you will be staying.

During this blog I will be going through our trips around different countries. I will also be giving some advise on some of the places we stayed, visited and through some  restaurants which we have gone to. You will also find some tips and ideas of how to make your trip easier to plan and hopefully cheaper.

As you might know in Malta I enjoy the game of Bowling. I together with four other ladies was invited to go for a tournament in Belgium to represent Malta for the European Women's Championship held in Brussels. Belgium is part of the Western Europe and find different people speaking different languages from French, German and some Italian. One thing I noticed around Belgium is that there was practically no signs in English, all was in French, even round the train stations and bus nothing was easy to understand. This for me was a let down since Brussels is the city of Europe. Belgium shows a relative flat topology, with not so many high points. Brussels city center is not as green as one would think but from the outskirts of Brussels, there is plenty of open spaces filled with cows, horses and others animals. Slovenia, mountains everywhere

The country with 360 degree views and mountains I was always interested in travelling to Slovenia, while researching about this country the pictures where always so picturesque and beautiful, mountains everywhere  and so my trip planning began. I visited Slovenia together with my husband, sister and her husband. We traveled there at the end of October till the beginning of November. I planned a good 11 day trip from nature trips, adventures and a trip down to the beautiful city Ljubljana. From Malta currently there are no direct flights to Ljubljana or any other airports in Slovenia. We flew to Treviso (Italy) and from there drove through Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The drive took around three hours. Driving in Slovenia is not a big deal, actually drivers are rather calm and patient.  Driving there is on the right-hand side like most countries, but for us Maltese it was the opposite side. Quaint, Characteristic, Charming.... Vignanello Italy

Vignanello, is a small town in Italy, in the province of Viterbo. It is situated an hour and a half away from Fiumicino airport in Rome.   As soon as we arrived at Vignanello, the Ruspoli Castle was sitting there prominently overlooking the beautiful views that surround Vignanello..  We immediately felt the small town that Vignanello is, as we could see people calling each other by name while exiting shops or walking on the streets, all the time.  Everyone knows everyone.  Because of that, we were immediately spotted as the foreigners.  That turned out to be a positive aspect, as everyone was ready to chat with us or help in what ever we needed. TIP: Since Vignanello is not a touristic place, locals aren't used to speaking English so communication might be an issue if you do not know Italian.
